Nordic Walking Forum

29 Oct 2007

Nordic Walking UK is holding the first Nordic Walking Forum in Wales on the 21st November 2007. As part of this one day event we are offering an open session to help those who are interested in developing a nordoc walking project or who would like to try this growing activity:

  • Come for lunch and meet existing instructors based in Wales and people involved in delivering Nordic Walking projects;
  • Experience nordic walking for yourself in a 1 hour outdoor session lead by the Nordic Walking UK National Coach for Wales;
  • Listen to a presentation on existing projects and ways to set up nordic walking projects in your area;
  • Find out how nordic walking can increase participation in outdoor activities, improve people's health & fitness and motivate hard to reach groups.

With presentations from Shana Thomas, Sports Council for Wales.

The morning sessions are for qualified Nordic Walking UK instructors only. The open session begins from lunchtime onwards.
